You will learn our to plan, design, build and launch your own WordPress website. From defining your website’s goals to purchasing your domain, designing your pages, and setting up SEO on your site.
Nope! Whether you are just getting started or looking to revamp an existing business or blog, this course will help you clarify your online presence and get a website up and running.
During the course you will need to purchase a domain name (if you do not already have one) and hosting (I’ll walk your through how to get both), and access to a computer. We’ll also cover how to choose a theme (either free or premium), select plugins (free and premium) and optimize your website with free tools. You may want to use software to develop your website design, but is not necessary for the course.
You will need to invest in a domain name and web hosting. These are essential for any live website and typically cost around $10-15 /year for the domain and $5-$15/month for hosting. If you decide to use a premium theme or plugins you will have a cost associated with each. This course is based on using a free theme and only the free version of plugins.
NOTE: Many Hosting companies offer a free domain for a year when you purchase your hosting at the same time.
The course is designed to be completed over 12 weeks, with weekly lessons, checklist, and Q & A sessions to keep you on track. You can also go at your own pace if needed. However, you will not be able to work ahead as each training will be recorded live.
You will have access to the weekly live Q & A sessions, email support and optional private call at a reduced rate for course members. You will also be able to ask questions inside the course platform and community.
Yes! If you follow the steps each week, you’ll have a fully functioning website by the end of the course. You will be supplied with a checklist to make sure that you stay on track.
